Floor knowledge - bamboo flooring

Bamboo flooring laying method

Bamboo flooring is a paint-free, dust-free floor that does not require tedious processes such as sanding and painting. Once installed, the floor can be used immediately. Therefore, it has the characteristics of simplicity and quickness. However, due to the meticulous and precise processing of bamboo flooring, the accuracy of installation is relatively high, and the requirements for the use environment are strict, and there are special regulations for ordinary maintenance. Therefore, reasonable paving and proper maintenance are indispensable tasks to make use of the advantages of bamboo flooring, prolong the service life and beautify the home life.

First, the appropriate place to use bamboo flooring

Bamboo flooring is a kind of decorative material with higher grade and higher taste. In recent years, it has been widely used in the decoration of homes, office buildings, hotels and some entertainment and sports venues, and is deeply loved by consumers at home and abroad. In theory, bamboo flooring can be used in all indoor areas where ventilation is dry and easy to maintain. This kind of application site covers various regions with different climatic characteristics in China, including high temperature and high humidity areas in the southeast coast. Therefore, domestic users can use it with confidence. Specifically, the bamboo flooring is more suitable for the field:

1. Home renovation: This is the main part of the popular use of bamboo flooring, especially the bedroom, study, gym, Japanese and style rooms.

2. High-end office buildings, including offices, conference rooms, reception rooms, product showrooms, etc.

3. Hotels, shops: including hotel suites, health centers, entertainment centers, conference centers, etc.

4. Senior commercial buildings: including business halls, special counters, etc. Bamboo flooring can also be used for wall decoration.

Generally, it is not suitable for the use of bamboo flooring: the bottom floor and basement of buildings with poor moisture resistance, the ground that often touches water, large indoor public places, public passages, etc.

The installation of bamboo flooring is generally placed in the final process of room decoration, so as not to damage or deface the floor during the construction of other projects.

Second, the bamboo flooring paving method and steps

1. Moisture proof treatment

First, lay a layer of moisture-proof material, such as oil felt, plastic film, etc., on the floor where the floor is to be laid. The moisture-proof material should be complete, and the cover or joint should be covered repeatedly. The purpose of laying the moisture barrier is to prevent the condensation of water on the ground or the moisture that penetrates through the capillary and directly contact the back of the floor. Let it pass through the seams left by the surrounding walls and let it out into the air. Moisture protection is especially necessary for the renovation of newly built buildings.

2. Laying keel

Unlike other flexible flooring, bamboo flooring must be supported and fixed with keel. First of all, we must choose the material for the keel. Generally speaking, ordinary wood can be used for keel, such as pine, fir and some broad-leaved trees, but it is better to use wood that is not easy to mold and has strong nail holding power. The specification of the keel is about 30mm × 30mm, the length is arbitrarily long, and it can be sawed or lengthened according to the indoor size. The wood used as the keel must be manually dried or naturally dried and then planed to the same thickness with a four-sided planer or planer. Then there is the nail keel. The keels should be laid parallel in the width direction of the room, and the distance is about 300cm, depending on the length of the floor. But be careful to consider that the two ends of the floor must be placed on the keel to avoid hanging. After the keel is positioned, level it with a level, and level it with a wooden block when leveling. Then use a cement nail of about 5 cm to firmly nail the keel to the concrete floor.

Some users like to put a layer of plywood or MDF on the keel. If the height and economic conditions of the house are not allowed, they can be completely nailed without affecting the use.

3. Paving floor

For the assembly of bamboo flooring, the misalignment method is generally adopted, that is, the joint seams of the two ends of the tongue and groove are staggered from each other, and the joint seams are separated from each other on the same straight line. This is similar to the method used to build brick walls. This assembling method can evenly distribute the joint seam on the plane, thereby increasing the three-dimensional layering of the plane. When the width and length of the floor are not multiples from the indoor size, the floor can be sawed and sawn, but a layer of varnish should be applied to the slash to keep the floor sealed.

The method of fixing the floor and the keel is to use a nail with a length of about 2.5 cm to nail the root at the length of the floor, and to penetrate and penetrate the floor at an oblique angle of 45°, deep into the deep keel, so that the floor and the ground are tightly combined. Into the "whole". Before using the nail to nail into the floor, a small drill bit must be used to drill a hole so that the nail does not crack the floor. Because bamboo has no transverse fibers, it is easier to split. Another problem to be aware of is that the floor should be 1cm to 2cm away from the wall around the room to prevent the water in the wall from entering the floor. The gap left can be covered with a corner line without affecting the appearance.

From the perspective of the process of installing the bamboo flooring, the same method is used for the installation of the solid wood lacquered floor.

Pour your milk into a microwave‐safe container and heat for about 45 seconds, or heat it in a saucepan on the stove until just before boiling.

Transfer the milk to your Mellow Bird`s coffee mug.

Place the whisking end of the frother into the milk. It should be just barely under the surface of the milk.

Turn on the frother and move the whisk around the surface of the milk, creating a thick foam on the top.

Turn off the frother when you have created the desired amount of foam. This is usually about ? inch thick on top of the milk.

Rinse the Milk Frother head under warm running water to ensure that all residue is removed. Dry with a dish towel and store for the next use.

Brew your coffee and pour into the mug. Add sugar if desired and enjoy a milder coffee experience.
